What Can You Expect Before Breast Augmentation?

Dr. Stein takes meticulous measurements to find an implant that suits your body type and meets your expectations. During your consultation you will meet with him at length to discuss the surgical technique and recovery period. You will have an opportunity to ask any questions you like to help you feel comfortable and confident about the process. After surgery, you will meet with Dr. Stein regularly so he can make sure your breasts are healing appropriately and that you are recovering well. Dr. Stein is well-known for his excellence in patient care and will be by your side every step of the way.

What Is the Recovery Like for Breast Augmentation?

Recovery is patient specific. Usually, the implant is placed under your chest muscle. Your chest will look and feel tight and as the muscle gradually relaxes, the implants will slowly settle into its optimal position. As the implants settle the breast shape will get better and better. Many of Dr. Stein’s patients return to work a couple days after surgery. There are no drains and you can start showering over your breasts 2 days after surgery. Most patients are able to resume their day to day activity within a week of surgery and many begin exercising 2 weeks after surgery.
